This Privacy Policy explains how BGT Agency ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our partner portal at app.thebgtagency.com and related services.

1. Information we collect

When you create a partner account or use the portal, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, and Instagram handle
• Business information you provide during onboarding (offer, pricing, target audience, your story and credentials)
• Contact and payout details you choose to provide (phone/WhatsApp number, and the account or payment link your clients pay into — shared with a buyer only at the payment step, and only so they can pay you directly; we never receive or hold your money)
• Photos you upload (your own and your clients' before/after photos) and files you upload (e-books, guides, programs). By uploading a client's photo you confirm you have their permission to use it in your marketing
• Video recordings you upload or record inside the studio, including your sales video
• Performance data associated with content we manage on your behalf (views, reach, engagement)
• Lead and client information you or your audience generates through your content

2. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Operate your partner account and deliver our services
• Write content in your voice, build your sales materials, and manage your DMs on your behalf
• Show you analytics and revenue summaries for the activity we run for you
• Send you administrative communications (account updates, reports)
• Improve our platform and services

3. Instagram data

Where you connect your Instagram account to our platform (as a team member, without sharing your password), we may access:

• Your Instagram profile information and follower data
• Direct messages relevant to the sales pipeline we manage for you
• Post and story performance metrics

We access this data only to operate the services described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your Instagram data with any third party except as required to deliver the service (e.g., our AI infrastructure).

You can revoke our Instagram access at any time through your Instagram settings. Revoking access will prevent us from continuing to run your pipeline.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted in the EU). Access to your data is restricted to your account and BGT Agency staff. We use row-level security so each partner can only see their own records.

Uploaded photos and files are stored privately and are not accessible to anyone outside your account and BGT Agency. Your sales video works differently by design: it is delivered to your warm leads through a direct link, so anyone who has that link can watch it — that is what closes clients for you. Everything else stays private.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Supabase for database, Vercel for hosting, Anthropic for AI content generation)
• Legal authorities if required by law

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to any contractual obligations)
• Withdraw your consent at any time

7. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage and session storage to remember your preferences (such as whether you have completed the onboarding tour) and to auto-save your onboarding answers on your own device as you type, so a refresh never loses your work. This auto-saved draft stays on your device and is cleared when you finish setup. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
